iStop Swell is a polyurethane rubber-based water bar which swells in the presence of water and moisture. iStop Swell is used for sealing of structural joints in concrete structures and tunnels which are subjected to hydrostatic pressure. iStop Swell has an ultimate expansion rate of up to 300%. This swelling rate is slow and controlled to avoid the early mechanical loading and pressure on the surrounding new concrete. iStop Swell will not disintegrate in water and does not function as a capillary duct and transport water though its internal matrix and the selling is limited to the external sides which are exposed to water
